COMMERCIAL TOPICS

1. How can I order furniture?

As a furniture manufacturer, we do not currently sell retail. We work with many partner showrooms in Poland, a list of which can be found on the SHOWROOMS website.

2. What is the order fulfillment time?

Depending on the size of the order and the production load, the order fulfillment time is about 5-8 weeks.

3. Is the furniture to be assembled?

The vast majority of our furniture is sold and delivered as an assembled product. Nevertheless, there individual pieces of furniture which, due to their dimensions, must be packed in 2-4 elements and then they are ready for self-assembly. Most often it concerns: beds, tables, large cupboards, wardrobes.

4. What are the rules for using furniture?

Furniture should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then the cleaned surfaces should be wiped dry. The varnishes that we use to finish the furniture do not require maintenance. The use of chemicals containing waxes, polishes, etc. for the maintenance of furniture may cause structural changes to the varnished layers. Upholstered surfaces should be periodically cleaned with a dry, soft cloth or soft brush, or with a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment. For cleaning fabrics and upholstery leather, do not use chemicals such as: thinners, petrol, alcohol.

The discussed rules of use and maintenance can be found in the Warranty Card ︎︎︎

5. Can I buy your furniture online?

JAFRA does not sell online. Our sales are based on a network of company and partner showrooms, which we cordially invite you to visit. The list of the our partner shorooms you will find here.

TECHNOLOGICAL TOPICS

1. What is the furniture made of?

We mainly make furniture from solid alder and oak wood, depending on the collection. Taking into account the fact that wood is a natural material that "reacts" to the environment in a characteristic way, we decided to use wood materials in our furniture (plywood, mdf, chipboard), which, due to their isotropic properties, eliminate " "warping" of the elements. All wood materials come from FSC-certified suppliers.

2. How do you make tables?

The tops are made in a frame construction. In the middle of the top, there is a board covered with high-quality alder, oak or cherry veneers, depending on the collection. We use solid alder or oak wood around the perimeter.

3. How do you make drawers?

Depending on the collection, the drawers are made of wood in a spigot structure, where the drawer elements are connected in a traditional way, the so-called "Dovetail" or pegged. It also depends on the collection whether we use traditional wooden or metal slides with a brake and a closing system.

4. What is marquetry?

Marquetry is a unique and original decorative technique consisting in creating an image by lining the surface of wooden objects (in our case, furniture) with other types of wood. This technique was known in antiquity and is now extremely rare. Creating furniture with the art of inlay is a long-term process that requires high precision and finesse, and furniture made with the art of inlay is considered sophisticated.. Marquetry may include alder, mahogany, walnut and cherry veneers.

5. What is a bark beetle?

This is a deliberate manual operation consisting in making traces of imitation bark beetle feeding.

6. Is it possible to order furniture in a different size, color or fabric than the standard ones offered by you?

Non-standard orders are characterized by a different technological process, therefore each such inquiry is treated individually. Feel free to send us your questions to the following address: jafra@jafra.pl
